Karen J. Verville

Karen J. Verville, age 79, a 31- year resident of Shelby Township, passed away on November 30, 2019, at Troy Beaumont Hospital. Karen was born on February 13, 1940 the daughter of Hugo and Irma (Somosky) Janutolo. On February 14, 1959 she married James E. Verville in Detroit, Michigan. Karen spent many years working for Scherer Fluid Power as the Office Manager amongst many other roles. She was a founding member of the First Baptist Church of Troy. Karen has been active in the church throughout her life and most recently served as the class secretary. Karen loved reading, shopping at Macy’s, and spending time with her extended family. Karen lived a life serving others including her husband. Karen is survived by her loving husband James of Shelby Township. Children; David (Tammie) of Detroit, Mike (Carol) of Clarkston, and Susan (Dennis) Donald of Warren. Grandchildren; Adam (Katie), Ashley (Frank) Andrews, Alex (Jasmine) Austin (Casey), Rachel (Ken) Keller, Brian, Hope, Tyler, Justin, Karen Donald, Katelin (Adam) Peckat, Kelsey Donald, and Krystal Donald. Lastly, seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 11 AM at First Baptist of Troy (2601 John R Rd, Troy, MI 48083). Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 4-8 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
