Karen S. Ruthenberg

Karen S. Ruthenberg, age 76, a 45 year resident of Allenton, passed away December 13, 2023 at home. Karen was born June 4, 1947 in Normal, Illinois, the daughter of Harry and Wilma (Howard) Kunkler. She married Thom Ruthenberg on October 9, 1965 in Warren, Michigan. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and working in the garden.

Karen is survived by her husband, Thom, children Sherri (Robert) Bracco of Washington Township, Christine (Doug) Buchanan of Macomb, Laura (Scott) Miles of Lowell, Michigan, grandchildren Lia Bracco, Gwyneth Buchanan, Nikolas Buchanan, and Logan Buchanan.

Visitation will be held Tuesday December 19, 2023 from 4:00PM-8:00PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 20, 2023 at 10:00AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (883 Capac Rd, Allenton, Michigan 48002).
