Katherine Zaborowski, age 96, a resident of the Sanctuary of Fraser Villa Nursing Home for the last year passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016. Katherine was born September 11, 1919 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Katherine (Niebert) Litzenburger. Katherine worked 15 years as a LPN at Saginaw General Hospital and was a 50 year faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Flint. She loved to travel, dance, read, sew and entertain her many family & friends. She was a beautiful Christian Mother, but most of all she loved the Lord Jesus, her Savior! She will be dearly missed by family and friends. Katherine married Leonard Caruso, now deceased, and they had 3 daughters: Carol Margaret now deceased, and surviving daughters Katherine Ann Caruso of St Clair Shores and Lenore Elizabeth Caruso of Romeo. Also survived by grandchildren Kimberly, Katherine, and Matthew along with 5 great grandchildren and sisters: Elsie Cardella, Margaret Tiechman and Jeanette Weiss. She was preceded in death by brothers Daniel & John Litzenburger and sisters Pauline Anderson & Ruby King. Katherine was married to Vincent Zaborowski of Saginaw for 7 years. Funeral services will take place on Friday, May 6 at 11 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Flint with Rev. Jeffrey Walsh officiating with burial to follow in the Sunset Hills Cemetery in Flint. Donations to St Paul Lutheran Church of Flint would be appreciated. A Funeral Luncheon will take place after burial at the Olive Garden restaurant on Miller Road in Flint. Visitation will take place on Friday from 9 AM—11 AM at the Church.
