Kathleen C. Eubank

Kathleen C. Eubank, age 90, a longtime resident of Washington Township, Michigan, passed away Thursday December 19, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. Kathleen was born May 1, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Roland W. and Kathleen (Rettenmier) Graubner. Kathleen began her education in the Detroit Public School System, first attending Cooke Elementary School, and went on to graduate from Redford High School. Kathleen was accepted into Olivet College, and attended school there from 1953-1957, where she majored in History and Education. While in school, Kathleen worked for Comerica Bank during her summer vacations. After graduating college, until 1961, she worked for Campbell Ewald Advertising Agency, working in the Research Library and in the Market Research Department. Kathleen then chose to be a housewife/mom until 1972. For three years, from 1972-1975, she worked for Detroit Public Schools as a Chapter 3 Reading Coordinator. She then moved on to work at Eubank Agency Inc. in Berkley Michigan as the Secretary/Treasurer from 1975 until she retired in 1999. 

Kathleen was involved in many organizations including, Board of Directors and Secretary of the Community Hospital, Past Treasurer and Board of Directors for the Four County Community Foundation, President & Treasurer Romeo Monday Club, Trustee for Romeo Congregational Church, Washington Township Election Board, Past President of Romeo District Library Board, and Eastern Star Lapeer Chapter (#252). She also liked doing exercise classes at the Parks and Rec along with doing puzzles and making cards.

Kathleen is survived by her loving husband James of Washington Township, children, Kathleen (Michael) of Washington Township and James Eubank of Washington Township, and grandchildren, Michael, Kathryn (Luke), and Thomas.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at 3:00 PM, and visitation will be from 1:00-4:00 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Powell Cemetery.
