Kenneth E. Nelson

Dr. Kenneth E. Nelson, age 70, a three year resident of Romeo, formerly of Bay City, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Wellbridge of Romeo. Ken was born January 21, 1950 in Santa Monica, California, the firstborn son of Paul and Elsa (Long) Nelson. He attended Glendale Academy, Pacific Union College, and then Loma Linda University, where he earned his Masters in Public Health and Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Ken owned and practiced at Onaway Family Dentistry from 1978 to 1986 and then West Bay Dental of Bay City, Michigan for 28 years. He was known to be extremely generous and enjoyed helping people. He loved music, scuba diving, traveling, the ocean and California sun. Throughout all phases of his life he had a sustaining belief in a loving God. Dr. Nelson is survived by his children, Dr. Ryan Nelson of Washington Township, Michigan, and Bonnie (Nelson) Potts of Camarillo, California; brothers, Dr. Alan Nelson of Carbondale, Colorado, and Dr. Gary Nelson of Chico, California; Grandchildren Jelina, Rowen, Corbin, Roslyn, Amelia, and Gunnar. Funeral services will be private. Dr. Ken Nelson requested that no flowers be sent or charitable donations made.
