Kurt Hauptli

Kurt Hauptli passed away November 27, 2020 at the age of 91. Kurt was born in Switzerland May 22, 1929. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Sandmeier Hauptli in 1997 and companion Margrit Widmer in 2013. Kurt is survived by his brother Peter (Margrith) of Switzerland, his three sons, Jurg (Leslie) of Front Royal, VA. Thomas (Susan) of Concord, NC and Daniel (Lynn) of Kalamazoo, MI. Kurt is also survived by his two grandchildren Erich (Jessica) Hauptli of Cedar Park, TX and Krista Teller of Shelby Township, MI. He also has three great grandchildren. Kurt worked for many years at Grand Machining. He previously resided in Livonia, MI and Auburn Hills, MI. Kurt moved to Cedarbrook Senior Living in October of 2019. Memorials in Kurt’s honor may be made to the American Heart Association. A memorial service for Kurt Hauptli will be held at a future date in either the spring or summer of 2021.
