Laverne A. Hart

LaVerne A. Hart age 81, lifelong Romeo resident, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at the McLaren Port Huron Hospital.  LaVerne was born on August 5, 1938 to Roy and Ila (Henderson) Hart in Romeo, Michigan.   He worked at General Motors as a foundry laborer for 25 years in Pontiac, MI.  He enjoyed snow plowing, yard work, and other miscellaneous clean up jobs (especially if there was a brush hog involved).  In his spare time LaVerne enjoyed watching American Pickers, westerns, and attending parties.      LaVerne is survived by his wife Florencia of Emmett, sons Roy Hart of Emmett and Howard Hart of Shelby Twp, his brother Tom (Ersel) Hart of Gladwin; grandchildren Roy, Dawn, and Howard. He is also survived by six great grandchildren. LaVerne was preceded in death by his son Albert and LaVerne R.; brother, Edward Hart; sisters Marjorie Raska, Patricia Bonczak, and Louise Schoonover. He was also preceded in death by his late wife Joan Hart in 1997.    A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday. October 9, 2019 at 7pm at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home.  Visitation will occur from 4-8pm also on October 9, 2019.
