Leona Page

Leona Page.  Born January 13, 1911   Died February 13, 2007 Leona passed away on Tuesday at Mt. Clemens General Hospital.  Leona was born in Pigeon, MI., the daughter of Moses and Anna (Currey) Braun.  She married John Page in 1940 and he preceded her in death in 1974.  Leona graduated with a teaching degree from West Michigan University in Kalamazoo and then taught in one room school houses in the Sebewaing MI. area for a few years.  Leona loved to volunteer her time after she moved to Romeo where she had lived for the last 65 years.  She was longtime member of the First Congregational Church of Romeo, member of its choir, helped with other ladies of the church with the Romeo Thrift Shop, member of the Romeo Monday Club, member of the Romeo Senior Citizens, and the Romeo A.A. R.P.     Leona is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann Hogan of Romeo and Ruth (Stephen) Dupuie of Leonard, MI. along with grandchildren Bryan, Stephanie, Zachary, & Leah.  She was preceded in death by her grandson Kevin and her sister Verda.       Funeral services will take place on Saturday at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Dean Dumbrille officiating.  Burial to follow in the Romeo Cemetery.  Donations to the Richmond Pines Adult Foster Care where Leona spent her last 2 years  would be appreciated.
