Linda Kay Zimmer

Linda Kay Zimmer, age 78, originally from Romeo, MI, who lived a significant portion of her life in Armada and Attica, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan, surrounded by her husband and her children.

Linda was born on December 8, 1944, the youngest daughter of Samuel and Florence Phelps. She married Fred Browarski, who preceded her in death in 1984. Together, they had four children. Linda married Jerry Zimmer in 1986. Together, they loved traveling, dancing, playing cards, going out to eat, and enjoying life. They were both active members of the VFW.

Linda was happiest when spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and those she considered family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was proud to be very active and present in their lives. Linda was an avid reader and always ready for a discussion on current events. She had a sharp mind, a knack for organization, a great sense of humor and style. Her presence was huge. She was loved by many. Linda was one of a kind.

Linda is survived by her loving husband Jerry, her children: Jeffrey (Gayle) Browarski of Key Largo, FL, Jim Browarski of Austin, TX, Jennifer (Dwight) Burley of Waterford, Jaclyn (Prentice) Cotham of West Bloomfield, Mike Zimmer of Capac, and Scott (Joanne )Zimmer of Ortonville, MI; her grandchildren Glenn, Heather, Freddy, Marek, Chase, Cameron, Annabel, Eleanor, and Silas and three great grandchildren Lillian, Isabelle & Elliot. She was the beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was like a mother, aunt, or grandma to many. Linda was preceded in death by her first husband Fred and her sisters Marilyn Cusick, Ann Schoenberg and Sandra Pardon.

Visitation will take place on Thursday from 3-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. A Memorial Mass will take place on Friday at 10 AM at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo
