Linda L. Riester

Linda Riester, a long-time resident of Allenton, Michigan, passed away September 18, 2020 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit after a long illness. Linda was born in Detroit, Michigan, January 1, 1944, the daughter of Jack & Luella (Almas) Cameron. She was a woman of many talents, including crafts, knitting, sewing, canning, and genuinely a woman of many talents. She was a avid horse lover as her house would attest. Her Kentucky Derby parties were enjoyed by family and friends yearly. Her home showed the love of all holidays by the decorations throughout it. She spent her working years as Assistant Vice President of Flagstar Bank, and as a real estate agent. Linda’s infectious personality attracted many, many friends that she shared her lifetime with. Her grandchildren were treasured and a very important part of her life. She is survived by her three children, Court Riester of Capac, Scott (LeeAnn) Riester of Imlay City, Michele Riester of Almont, two grandchildren Samuel and Sydney Riester and two sisters, Denise (Tom) Smith. Cecily McCloud and a few nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Jack Cameron, mother, Luella Crimboli and sister Carol Cameron. Funeral services will take place on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 11 AM at Ferguson Cemetery in Almont with visitation on Thursday, September 24 from 3-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
