Lois Chaffin

Lois Chaffin, age 91, a 36 year resident of Ray Township and formerly from New Haven, MI., passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at the Henry Ford Macomb Hospital System.in Clinton Township. Lois was born March 29, 1918 in Cookeville, TN., the daughter of William and Tennie Long. She was married over 40 years to James Clay who preceded her in death in August of 1974. When she was younger, she worked in sales at Crowley’s Department Store in Detroit. She loved to be at home with her family and friends, working in her garden & planting her flowers. Lois is survived by daughter Jean Ryall of Richmond, MI., and her granddaughter Phyllis Deaner/Parker of Romeo, Michigan. Also survived by her beloved cat Milo. She was preceded in death by her great grandson Jesse Deaner on Mar. 25, 2003 along with her 8 brothers & sisters. Funeral services will take place on Thursday at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with burial at the Romeo Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday at 2—8 PM.
