Lou Mariotti recently heard those longed for words, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant…enter thou in the joy of the Lord” (Matthew 25:21-23). Lou now wears the Crown of Life in the presence of God, our Creator. And although he has received so great a reward, we have lost an amazing person. His vibrant walk with God will remain a treasured memory. He was a man of great faith in Jesus Christ and was a devout student of the Bible. He always stood up for what he believed in. The truth of Ecclesiastes 7:1-2 became real in his life: “The day on one’s death is better than the day one’s birth. It is better to go to a house of mourning than so to a house of feasting.” Why? Because the Christian does not go to a funeral but to a Victory Service. He has gone on to be with his Lord and his death is his Gain in Christ. Thank you Lord for blessing us with dear Lou, and for gracing all of us with such a dynamic personality. He was and encouragement to all. He is survived by his two sons, Todd (Lori Ann) of Burthville, Troy (Carrie) of Clinton Twp., one daughter, Renee English of Sterling Heights, five grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren He was predeceased by his daughter, Robin Leslie Longo in 1985.
