Louis Charles Malburg

Louis Charles Malburg, age 87, a resident of Armada Township since 1997 and formerly Macomb Township passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017 his home surrounded by his loving family. Louis was born August 24, 1930 in Sterling Township, Michigan the son of Edward Cyril and Mary Evelyn (Cnudde) Malburg. He married the former Lorraine Marie Vandevelde on October 17, 1953 at St Lawrence Catholic Church in Utica, Mi. Louis, along with his family were longtime truck gardeners in Macomb Township. Louis was a member of the Farm Bureau and a member of its board for many years. They attended St Isidore’s Catholic Church in Macomb Township, St Mary’s in Armada where he served as an usher and now attend St John Catholic Church in Allenton where he also served as an usher. Louis is survived by his children: George (Carla) of Ray Township and their children Laura (Josh) O’Neil, Eric (Alycia), and Rachel, Margaret of Berlin Twp., and her children Gail (Dan) VanHoeck, Gwendolyn Grunewald, Megan & Deanna Sandven, Alvin (Betty) of Lenox Twp and their children Ryan, Amanda (Steve) Mulak, Jacob & Justin , Frank of Armada Twp., Gary of Clinton Twp., and his child Olivia, Dale (Cynthia) of Armada and their children Brandon & Austin and Alice (Shawn) Gryspeerd of Berlin Twp. and their children Brianne & Andrew. Great grandchildren include Brody, Blake, Lexi, Susan, Connor, & Sophia. Siblings surviving include: Albert Malburg, Rosemary (Marcel) VanDaele and Joann Schatko. Louis was preceded in death by siblings: Wilfred, Francis, Eleanor DeBuck, Bernice Reichenbach, and Norman. Funeral services will take place on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 10 AM at St. John Catholic Church in Allenton with Fr. Michael Gawlowski officiating. Burial will follow in the West Berlin Cemetery in Allenton. Visitation will take place on Saturday from 3-8 and on Sunday from 1-8 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
