Louis "Lou" F. Kraetke

Louis F. Kraetke age 76 a 17 year resident of Richmond passed away on December 15, 2019 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. Louis was born on September 20, 1943 the son of Louis and Mary (Lorimer). He graduated from Grosse Pointe High School the class of 1962. He was drafted into the Army where he served two years as a Army Ranger. Louis married Susan Wesch on May 22, 1971 at Croswell Community Baptist Church. He worked for Production Steel, Chrysler Corp. as a Line Supervisor, and ultimately retiring from DTE as a Lineman. His hobbies included Duck Hunting, being with his dogs and taking care of the horses. He was very proud of doing “Stain glass” and his work can be seen at St. Paul Episcopal Church Romeo, Michigan. Louis also liked to go out to eat and enjoy a nice glass of wine.   Louis is survived by his loving wife Sue of Richmond. Children Heidi (Russ) Milne of Shelby Twp. And Jonathan (Angela) Kraetke of Canton. Grandchildren Elizabeth Milne, Russell Milne, and Kaylee Kraetke. He was pre deceased by his son Louis F. Kraetke III in 1992.   Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 11 AM at St. Pauls Episcopal Church (11100 West 32 Mile Road, Romeo MI 48065). Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 2-8 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home.
