Madeline F. Ziehm

Madeline F. Ziehm, age 69, a resident of Romeo since 1982, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Hearts Content Assisted Living in Breckenridge, Michigan. Madeline was born December 2, 1947 to Frank and Mary (Mooyaert) Baert in Highland Park, growing up in Warren and Mt. Clemens, Michigan. She is survived by her husband Karl Schlenz, and three sons: Charlie Ziehm of Romeo, Rich (Deborah) Ziehm of Almont, and Frank (Joan) Ziehm of Wauseon, Ohio. Also survived by 5 grandchildren: Andy & Sarah Ziehm both of Almont, Melissa Ziehm also of Almont, and Frank & Lorna Ziehm, both of Wauseon, Ohio. Her sister Margaret (Gary) Hoyt of St Louis, Michigan survives and she was preceded in death by her parents and two nephews Bill & Jim Hoyt. Madeline loved her family dearly and for many years worked as a real estate agent, enjoying country life with her many animals and pets. Along with her family, she was a long time member of St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo. Visitation will take place on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home from 10 AM till 11 AM. The service will begin at 11 AM with Father Jerry Kessel officiating. Donations to Alzheimer’s Research would be appreciated.
