Margaret E. Lange

Margaret E. Lange, (Maggie to her friends), age 86, a 80 year resident of Armada/Romeo/Almont, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at the Furguson Nursing Facility in Lapeer, MI. Margaret was born October 4, 1923 in Detroit, the daughter of Albert and Stephanie (Lagae) Victor. She married Paul Lange on October 14, 1950 and he preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 1979. She helped her son Rick at Turri’s Bar in Almont until 1983 and along with her husband Paul they owned and operated “Paul’s Ponderosa Restaurant” in Romeo from 1961 till 1977 and had previously owned the Keego Harbor Bar. Margaret was know for her athletic ability in both golf and bowling where she had won many tournaments. Her hobby was bingo and along with her family, they were longtime members of St Clement Catholic Church in Romeo. Margaret is survived by her sons, Dennis & Ron of Houston, TX, and Rick (Patti) Lange of Almont. Grandchildren include Tom & Kelly Lange of Almont and Paul Lange of Houston, TX. And also survived by her sister-in-law Anna Lange of Armada. She was preceded in death in siblings: Michael (Catherine) Victor, & Robert (Betty) Victor, Joseph (Yvonne) Victor, & Archie Victor. Also preceded in death by brother-in-law/sister-in-laws: Edward Lange, Melvin (Virginia) Lange, Thomas (Helen) Lange, Elmer (Stephanie) Lange, and Alberta (Hank) Hawald. Funeral service time on Wednesday at 1 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Fr. Jerry Kessel officiating with burial to follow in the Davis Cemetery in Ray Township. .
