Margaret J. Toothacker

Margaret J. Toothacker, age 71, a lifelong Romeo area resident, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2009 at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Margaret was born July 31, 1937 in O’Neill, Nebraska, the daughter of Earl and Emily (Spry) Yenglin. She married Charles F. Toothacker on September 26, 1959 at the Romeo United Methodist Church. Margaret worked as an Assistant Manager at the Community National Bank/First Of American for many years before retiring in the early 1990’s. She enjoyed reading, especially the books from the Macomb County Slight Impaired library. Her specialty was baking, especially her annual Christmas Cookies that she gave to everyone. She was also a long time member of the Romeo United Methodist Church. Margaret is survived by her son Chuck (Cindy) Toothacker of Armada Twp. and her granddaughter Lindsey. Siblings include Earl (Lavern) Yenglin of Romeo and Marie Campbell of Rochester, MI. Also survived by her cousin, Velma Springstubbe. She was preceded in death by her sister Dorothy Spens. Funeral services will take place on Thursday at 12:30 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Dr. Gary Glanville of the Romeo United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Bruce-Armada Cemetery. Donations to the Diabetes Association or to the Romeo United Methodist Church would be appreciated. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-9 PM.
