Margaret "Margie" Rhein

Margaret M. (Margie) Rhein, age 89, a resident of Armada Township since 1951, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the Village Rehab & Continuing Care Center. Margie was born December 17, 1924 in Detroit, the daughter of Paul and Lorinda (Salter) Malburg. She married Norbert Rhein on April 22, 1950 at St Lawrence Catholic Church in Utica. Margie, along with her family were long time members of St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo where she was on the Altar Society for many years. Her hobbies include cooking (For many years she worked with her sister Marie in the catering business) and playing bingo. Margie is survived by her husband Norbert: children: Charles (Cathy) Rhein of Del Ray Beach, Florida, Barbara (Michael) Bickmann of Washington Twp., and Donna (Kenneth) Desaele of Armada. Also survived by 6 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren. Siblings surviving include Marie Rhein of New Haven, MI., Raymond (Barb) Malburg of Capac, Clarence (Marcella) Malburg of Macomb Township and Dorothy (Ray) Muylaert of Almont and sister-in-law Margaret Malburg. Margie was preceded in death by her sister Lucille, brother Norbert, brother-in-laws Elmer Rhein, and sister-in-law Mary Ellen Malburg. Funeral services will take place on Monday, June 2 at 10 AM at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo. Burial will follow in the West Berlin Cemetery in Allenton. Visitation will be on Saturday from 4-8 and on Sunday from 2-8 with a 5 PM rosary at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
