Margaret Rose Bell

Margaret Rose Bell , age 85, a resident of Romeo for 37 years, passed away on March 9, 2024 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, MI. She was born on July 3, 1938, the daughter of Leslie and Bernadette (DeVange) Schwartz.

Family was most important to Margaret. She loved her big (sometimes crazy) ever expanding family. Christmas, holiday, and birthday celebrations were always a time for being together and enjoying food, games, jokes, conversation, and laughs. She did many things in her long and happy life. Even though she couldn’t swim and was afraid of the water, she spent many happy times boating with her captain. She cared not for dogs, but always had a favorite like Ginger, Brandy, Bandit or Alex. Theater and performing were always a great interest. She had an artistic side and was always up for trying new things Everything from learning the piano, playing ukulele, drumming, singing, dancing, quilting, stained glass, running props and even writing a play that was performed by her theater group. Recently she made a big move to her new home where she quickly became involved in her new community and met some wonderful new friends. We love you, Mom. You will be missed.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Terresa) Bell of Clawson,Theresa Montgomery of Southfield, James Jr. (Kathy) Bell of Royal Oak, Robin Bell of Delray Beach Fl., Kristine (Frank) Leone of Troy,and Leeann (Brian) Rice of Oxford, Margaret’s sister, Patricia (Ray) Townsend of Las Vegas, NV, Margaret also has 16 grandchildren and 8,soon to be 9, great-grandchildren.

A private service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024, at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo, MI. Margaret will be laid to rest at McCafferty Cemetery in Bruce Township, MI.
