Marguerite A. Masters, age 100, since 1943 a resident of Ray Township, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014, one day after her 100th birthday. Marguerite was born August 3, 1914 in Warren, MI, the daughter of Louis and Barbara (Ohlert) Schoenherr. She married Earl C. Masters on March 6, 1943 in Centerline, MI and he preceded her in death in 1995. Marguerite was a devoted mother & grandmother, who loved to sew, fish, knit, and solve crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Her trademark crocheted dishcloths were special gifts she made for visiting friends and relatives. She is a member of St John & Paul Catholic Church. She was most proud of being a part of a large family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marguerite is survived by her children: Kathleen (Burton) Berridge of Vidalia, GA., Shirley Blonde of Shelby Twp., Linda Jarvis and C. John (Katie) Masters both of Ray Twp. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, her sister Elizabeth (Bunny) Reiber, and sister-in-laws Helen Schoenherr & Bernadette Schoenherr. She was preceded in death by daughter Barbara in 1951, grandson Stephen Joseph in 1965, son-in-law Roderick Blonde in 1996, and siblings/spouses: Ethel (Leo) Jenuwine, Louis (Cecilia) Schoenherr, Paul (Viola) Schoenherr, Jim (Mildred) Schoenherr, Tom (Delores) Schoenherr, Marian (Glen) Hoxsey, Catherine (Harold “Hockey” ) Moore, Beatrice (Cliff) Reiterman, Suzanne (Frank) D’Angelo, Jack Schoenherr, and Eugene Schoenherr. Funeral Mass will take place at St John & Paul Catholic Church of Washington Twp. On Thursday, August 7 at 10:30 AM. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3-8 and on Wednesday from 2-8 with a 7:30 Scripture service at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan , with burial to follow at Davis Cemetery in Ray Township.
