Marguerite. L. Korpi

Marguerite Korpi, age 88, of Rochester Hills died Monday, December 28, 2015, in Troy, Michigan. Marge was born June 22, 1927 in Detroit Michigan, to Selwyn and Marguerite McKillen. She married Harmon Stenzel, the father of her son Douglas in 1946 and was widowed a few years later. She was married to Gerold Peters, the father of her two children Rhonda and Kimdon. Marge married Pentti Korpi in 1977. She was active as a volunteer in the Crittenton Hospital Auxiliary for over 30 years, and also for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and her childrens’ PTA groups.. Until recently, Marge enjoyed traveling widely with her husband, especially to California to visit her children and grandchildren, and they were a familiar couple at ballroom dancing events. Marge was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Stenzel. She is survived by her husband Pentti; by her children Rhonda Runke of Palm Desert and Kimdon Peters of Rochester Hills; and by her stepdaughter Sandra Korpi of Warren Michigan; by her grandchildren Emily Stevens, Charles (Charly) Stenzel and Spencer Runke of Ventura, California; Lauren Runke of Los Angeles; and Cathy Tompkins of Coarsegold California, and by three great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 2, 2016 from 11 AM till 1 PM when services will take place at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
