Maria B. Adkins

Maria B. Adkins, age 77, of Romeo passed away on Wednesday July 4, 2012 peacefully at her home. She married Jack Adkins November 15, 1952 at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Detroit. Maria loved to make blankets and rosaries. Maria belonged to the Comfort Maker and Rosary clubs of St. Clement Catholic Church of Romeo for many years. She was also a member of the Romeo Elketts till they disbanded. Maria is survived by children Cindi (Tim) Cremeans of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; Julie (Moe) Geldhof of Romeo; and Shari (Tom) Sovereign of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Jack in 2011 and her daughter Leisa. Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday July 10, 2012 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home with Father Jerry Kessel officiating. Visitation will be on Monday July 9, 2012 from 2-9 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home with a rosary at 7 PM.
