Maria Elena Conlon

Maria Elena Conlon, age 78, a resident of Washington Twp. for 35yrs, passed away Wednesday August 11, 2021 at her home with family surrounding her, the daughter of Hugh and Norma (Pierce) Barnes. She married the love of her life Brian, February 1, 1969 at St. Leonards of Warren. Maria graduated from Fitzgerald High School, class of 1961 and was Salutatorian. Maria worked at Birmingham Ecentric in the advertising department for many years. After her 2 kids were school age, she started a part time job with RGIS which turned into over 20 years. Besides getting to do jobs she loved such as write speeches for the CEO, create manuals, and help people out in the field, she met many wonderful people who became lifelong friends. She loved computers, chat groups, the English language, was an avid reader, they called her their favorite Bookworm. She also did a lot of random acts of kindness, good deeds, and supported a few charities close to her heart. Maria is survived by her daughter Maureen (Jerry) Lietz of Rochester Hills and her son Brian (Kelly) Conlon Jr. of Oxford, and one grandchild Brian Conlon III. Visitation will be held at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral home on Tuesday August 17, 2021 from 2-8pm with a Rosary at 7pm.
