Marie A. Marcath, age 59, a 30 year resident of Chesterfield Twp., passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Her best friend and beloved husband Dennis of 37 years, children and family were at her side. Marie was born February 6, 1961 in Royal Oak, MI, the daughter of Ron and Rose (Petrarca) Oliver. Marie worked at Martha T. Berry Hospital before taking time to raise her family, and afterwards, finished her career with Foster Grant. Marie was highly active in 4-H, volunteered at the Armada Fair, spent many hours helping on the family farm and with the family at the Royal Oak and Eastern Markets. She was also a lifelong member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and the Altar Society. Marie loved a variety of hobbies including snowmobiling, oil painting, making jewelry, and she never missed baking Christmas cookies for all. Above all things, family and friends came first. Marie’s spirited presence, generous heart and vivacious personality will be missed by all who met and knew her. Marie was the dear wife of Dennis, dearest mother of Paul (Elizabeth) Marcath of Richmond, and Ryan (Jaime) Marcath of St Clair Shores. Very proud grandmother of Olivia and Andrea. Sister of Fran (Joe) Bieth of Chesterfield Twp., Ron (Joann) Oliver of Macomb Twp., Charlie (Elsie) Oliver of Macomb Twp., and sister-in-law Joanie Oliver of Armada. Marie was preceded in death by her brother Ed Oliver (husband of Joanie) and her parents Ron and Rose Oliver. Visitation is Monday from 3:00-8:00pm., Tuesday from 2:00-8:00pm., at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, 11280 32 Mile Road, Romeo MI 48065.Marie will lie in state Wednesday at 9:30am., followed by a 10:00am. funeral Mass at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 18201 23 Mile Road, Macomb, MI 48042. Entombment will follow at Glen Eden Cemetery, 19810 26 Mile Rd. Macomb, MI 48042. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Beaumont Rose Cancer Center, 3577 W. 13 Mile, Royal Oak, MI 48073 **Please note that Michigan law permits a maximum of ten visitors in the visitation room at one time, and a face mask is required to enter the funeral home and church.**
