Marie E. Malburg

Marie Malburg, 91, a resident of Macomb Twp. since 1948, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the home of her daughter in Bruce Township. Marie was born February 27, 1930 in Utica, Michigan, the daughter of Edwin and Josephine (Callewaert) Theut. She married Albert E. Malburg on October 23, 1948 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Utica, MI. Marie was elected Macomb Twp Treasurer in 1988 and remained Treasurer for a total of 22 years. She loved making no-sew fleece blankets. She made so many she lost track. She always had a smile on her face and loved to play tricks and jokes on people. Marie is survived by her former husband, Albert, children: Karen (Dale deceased) Goodhue, Nancy (Richard, deceased) Gordon, Richard Malburg, Mary Jo VanSteenkiste, Daniel (deceased) (Karen Nanni) Malburg, Myron (Theresa) Malburg, Suzanne Malburg, Edwin Malburg, Frederick (Jennifer) Malburg, Alison (Todd) Melanshek, Joyce (Matt) Beaker, Regina (Todd) Woodcox, 38 Grandchildren, and 49 Great Grandchildren with additional 2 on the way. Along with her brothers and sisters. She will be missed by many and cherished in our hearts forever. Funeral services will take place on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 11:30 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church (95 Market St, Mt Clemens, MI 48043). Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 1-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. Burial will take place at West Berlin Cemetery.
