Marie Kubicek

Marie Kubicek, age 79, a resident of Bruce Township since 1985, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Troy Beaumont Hospital. Marie was born May 18, 1943 in Zlin, Czech Republic, the daughter of Adolf and Marie (Janku) Soukal. Marie was a nurse in Czechoslovakia, and when she came to the United States, she was an employee of Troy Beaumont Hospital for 30 years, beginning her career as a CNA, and retired as a Dialysis Technician. Marie married Jiri Kubicek on September 30, 1961. Marie loved gardening, arts and crafts, and shopping. Marie is survived by her husband Jiri of Bruce Township, daughters Eva Fill of Burton, Michigan and Paula (Chris) Clementson of Puyallup, Washington, and grandchildren Kevin (Haley) Fischer, Wyatt Ostrander, Kayla Ostrander, Becky and Ben Colmer, Andy and Becca Fill, Jess Fill, Christopher Fill, and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home on Friday August 5, 2022 from 1:00 P.M to 5:00 P.M. with funeral service at 5:00 P.M.
