Marietta Kenward

Marietta Kenward, age 63, a Romeo area resident for many years, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the Romeo Nursing Center. Marietta was born April 29, 1952 in Detroit, the daughter of Paul and Lina James. Marietta for many years was a Bus Driver for the Romeo School System until she retired in 2005. Upon retirement, she enjoyed being a “Karaoke Host” for many years in the Utica area. She enjoyed a good barbecue any time she could with her many family and friends. Marietta is survived by her children: Kris Oswald and Cory Thomas both of Romeo along with grandchildren Julia Oswald & Halayna Hills. Siblings surviving include Marlina Bolone of Sterling Heights, Annette (Steve) Curtis of Muskegon, MI., and Maggie James of New York. Also survived by Eugene Thomas and David Kenward’s children: Jill, David Jr., Steve and Dawn. She was preceded in death by her husband David Kenward, her son Larry Oswald and sister Paulette Murphy. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, June 18 at 7 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with visitation to take place also on Thursday from 2-8 PM.
