Marion Kay Motoligin, age 75, a 14 year resident of Goetzville, MI., and formerly from Almont, MI., passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2017 at her sons house in Bruce Township, Michigan. Marion was born June 20, 1944 in Rochester, the daughter of Donald and Beverly (Braidwood) Cochrane. Marion married Alex Motoligin on June 23, 1962 at the All Saints Russian Orthodox Church in Detroit. Marion worked alongside her husband in the floral business once they opened “Motoligin’s Florist” in Romeo in 1976. In 2005 she retired and moved to Goetzville, MI in the Upper Peninsula, where she spent her retirement enjoying her time with her husband and an occasional trip to Florida. She loved the company of her grandchildren. Marion is survived by her sons: Richard (Jan) of Romeo and David (Katie) of Memphis along with grandchildren Ashleigh, Brandon, and Mikala. Siblings include Donna (Phil) Bechtol of Sebring, FL. Marion was preceded in death by her beloved Husband Alex of 55 years in 2017. Funeral services will take place on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home (11280 32 Mile Road, Romeo Michigan 48065) with Archimandrite Pachomy, “Fr. John” Abbot of: St. Sabbas Orthodox Monastery, 18745 Old Homestead, Harper Woods, MI. 48225. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 till 8 PM. Burial will follow in Ferguson Cemetery in Almont, Michigan. Donations to the Karmanos Cancer Research would be appreciated.
