Marion Olive Hanley, age 94, a resident of Romeo/Manchester, MI., passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at her home in Washington Twp. Marion was born Oct. 23, 1915 in Sharon Hollow, MI., the daughter of Sam and Clara (Renaud) Breitenwischer. She married John Hanley who preceded her in death in 1972. Marion, after graduating from Eastern Michigan University with a teaching degree , first taught at a one room school house in Powes Corners near Napolean, Michigan. She later taught and retired from Croswell Elementary in Romeo. Marion attended Emmanuel United Church of Christ near Manchester, MI., and while in the Romeo area, she attended the Lakeville Methodist Church. Her hobbies include reading and traveling. Marion is survived by her sons, John Jr. (Mary) of Detroit and Richard (Rhonda) of Romeo. Also survived by grandsons Jay P. and Jesse O. Hanley along with her sister Ruth Randall of Brooklyn, MI. Along with her husband John, she was also preceded by her brother Marvin Breitenwischer. Memorial services will take place at a later date. Arrangements by the Henry M.
