Marjorie K. Barrett

Marjorie K. Barrett, age 73, a resident of Washington Township since 1999, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan. Marjorie was born March 6, 1946 in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Donald & Margaret (Aikey) Eminhizer. She married Donald R. Barrett on February 20, 1965 in Disco, Michigan. Marjorie worked many and varied jobs over her lifetime from over 17 years at “Mary’s Garden” in Washington Township, H. & R. Block Tax Service in Romeo, Romeo K-Mart, and Jo-Ann Frabrics. When not working, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, gardening, and cutting her grass. Marjorie is survived by her husband Donald, daughters: Tammy (David) Streber of Milford & Kathie (Ken) Schoof of West Bloomfield along with her father Donald Eminhizer of Arizona. Also survived by her grandchildren Breeanna, Brooke, & Zachary along with one sister Gail Eminhizer of Traverse City, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her mother Margaret and brother Tom. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, July 6 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Rev. Denny Irish of the Yale Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 3-8 at the Funeral Home. Donations can be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Marjorie would be appreciated.
