Marjory J. Werderman

Marjory J. Werderman, age 80, a 20 year resident of Sage Lake/Hale, Michigan area, and formerly a lifelong Romeo area resident passed away on February 16, 2010 at her home. Marjory was born November 1, 1929 in Romeo, the daughter of Walter and Edith (Davison) Werth. She married Harold Werderman on May 26, 1951 at the First Congregational Church in Romeo. Marjory graduated from Romeo High School in 1947, from Michigan State Normal College (currently Eastern Michigan University) in 1953 where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree and then received her permanent Elementary Certificate on August 30, 1956. She then taught Elementary School for 38 years in the Utica School System before retiring in 1988. She had been a longtime member of the Eastern Star #19 in Romeo. Marjory is survived by her husband Harold, daughters: Cindy (Dennis) Schwark of Romeo, Diane (Dennis) Rang of Armada, and Wendy (Scott) Russell of Washington Twp. Grandchildren include Kim, Tracy, Adam, Laura, Arthur, Steven and Christopher. Marjory was preceded in death by her brother Donald Werth on Aug. 13, 1989. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 1 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Rev. Mark Evans of St John Lutheran church of Romeo officiaitng. Visitation will take place on Thursday from 6-9 and on Friday from 2-9 with a 7 PM Eastern Star Service. Burial will take place at the Romeo Cemetery. Donations to the St Joseph Hospice (716 German Street, P.O. Box 239, Tawas, MI 48764-0239) or to the Eastern Star of Romeo would be appreciated.
