Mark A. Susalla

Mark A. Susalla, age 65, a 4 year resident of Imlay City and formerly of Sterling Heights, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan. Mark was born August 4, 1956 in Bad Axe, Michigan, the son of Arthur & Mary (Zulka) Susalla. Mark retired from the construction trade doing underground infrastructure. When not working, he enjoyed bird watching, fishing, and just being outdoors. He loved his many grandchildren and fond memories of all of his cars that he had over the years. Mark is survived by his children: Preston (Michelle) Susalla of Washington Twp. and Aaron (Chrissy LePla) Susalla of Macomb Twp. Also survived by grandchildren Carter, Andrew, Kenzie, Taylor, and A.J. along with siblings; Larry (Sharon) Susalla, Marlene Calverley, Daniel (Linda) Susalla, Harley (Debbie) Susalla, Dennis Susalla, Carol (Dennis) essenmacher, Mary Jane (Ken) Lawrence, Kerry Susalla, and Randy (Joyce) Susalla. Visitation will take place on Thursday from 3-8 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan with a service at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to either the American Lung Association or Detroit Animal Welfare Group.
