Mark M. Alfonsi, age 58, a lifelong Romeo and Ray Township resident, passed away at home on November 11, 2017. Mark was born on February 24, 1959, the son of Lawrence and Barbara (Eddy). He graduated from Romeo High School, class of 1977. On September 11, 1982, he married Deborah Janicki at St. Clement Catholic Church. He worked for Suburban Boring, Inc. for 38 years where he began his career as a machinist and later, plant manager. Mark also enjoyed working in his home machine shop. He and his wife shared a passion for real estate; together they completed several home builds and renovations. Mark had a love for nature and over the years spent his free time camping, recreational tree climbing, kayaking and walking with his wife around Wolcott Mill Metro Park. Mark will be remembered for his kindness, patience, helpfulness, and ability to build, fix or solve just about anything. Mark is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Deborah of Ray Township, and their children, Brian and Therese. He is also survived by his siblings, Patti Lange of Davis, Tony (Paula) Alfonsi of Almont, Denise Alfonsi of Davis, and Annette Bernard of Transonic, Michigan. Mark is survived by his father-in-law, John (Agnes) Janicki of Ray Township; sister-in-law, Jeanine (Eric) Vincent of Ray Township; brother-in-law, John Janicki of Ray Township; nieces and nephews, Bradley and Alan Vincent; Tom, Paul and Kelly Lange, Michael (Amy) Alfonsi; and Emily (Devon) Kelly. He was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence in 2010 and Barbara in 2014; his mother-in-law, Carol Ann in 1988; and his brother-in-law, Richard Lange in 2015. Visitation will be on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 2-8:00pm at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home with a 7:00pm rosary. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 10:00am at St. Clement Catholic Church in Romeo with Father Jim Andres officiating.
