Marlene B. Locke

Marlene B. Locke, age 77, a 15 year resident of Gladwin, MI., and formerly from Romeo, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2010 at the Karmonos Cancer Center in Detroit. Marlene was born June 23, 1933 in Detroit, the daughter of Myles and Margaret (Dedenbach) Graybill. She married Richard Locke in 1954 in Detroit and he preceded her in death in January of 2008. Marlene loved her family, especially her grandchildren, was an avid card player and board game player and was known to be very competitive in every thing she did. Marlene is survived by her children: Richard (Melanie) Locke of Rochester, Judith Pype of Capac, Frances (Chester) Gibson & Renee (Charles) Carman both of Gladwin, Myles (Barbara) Locke of Buford, Georgia, and David (Rebecca) Locke of Ferndale. Also survived by 12 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren along with siblings: Janet, Patricia, Jack, Roberta, Douglas, and Kathleen. Marlene was preceded in death by her husband Richard and by her siblings Lois and Thomas. A memorial Mass will take place on Friday, November 26 at 10 AM at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo with Fr. John (Fr. Doc) Ortman officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Karmonos Cancer Institute and its hospice would be appreciated. Arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
