Marlene Lillian Fletcher

Marlene Lillian Fletcher, age 88, a lifelong Romeo resident, passed away on May 28, 2023 at McLaren Lapeer Hospital. Marlene was born July 31, 1934 in Royal Oak, Michigan, the daughter of John and Jenny (Fallen) Murphy. Marlene married Neil Fletcher on November 26, 1957, and he preceded her in death on May 30, 1995. Marlene loved painting, gardening, and going to flea markets and craft shows. She also enjoyed volunteering at church.

Marlene is survived by her sons Matthew (Kimberly) Fletcher of North Carolina, Mark (Martha) Fletcher of Tampa Florida, Carl Fletcher of Washington, Michigan, siblings, Monroe Murphy, Anna Schwartz, as well as 9 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Neil, on May 30, 1995 and her son David N. Fletcher in 1960.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 7:00 PM with Pastor Mike officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday May 31, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home.
