Marliese Glass

Marliese Glass, age 84, passed peacefully on November 22, 2021 at home with her family in Washington, Michigan. Marliese was born in Huffelsheim, Germany, daughter of Michael and Maria (Welter) Strieder. Marliese was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, and quiet moments enjoying nature, but her greatest joy was time spent with family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Gary Glass, her daughters Gay (Ric) Carolan and Heidi (John) Nehra. Marliese was “Oma” to five grandchildren, Patric (Madeleine), Michael (Ashley), Emily (Tim), Jack (Jenny), and William (Samantha) and three great grandchildren Lyla, Judah, and James. She also leaves behind many dear friends she loved as family. A private memorial will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that you consider a donation to the American Cancer Society in remembrance of Marliese Glass.
