Martha Petersen

MARTHA (KOVACH) PETERSEN of Howell, Michigan, passed peacefully to her Lord on August 1, 2023 surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Karrie) Petersen and Kimberly (Joseph) Gimmarro; along with her grandchildren, Sarah Petersen, David Petersen, Jack Petersen, and Joseph Gimmarro, sister Helen (Vernon) Peterson, and sisters-in-law Orlean Kovach and Sandra Kovach. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, David; brothers Jerome Kovach, Joseph Kovach, Emil Kovach, and Edwin Kovach; sister Ruth Shong; brother-in-law Jack Shong; and sisters-in-law Frances Kovach and Vera Kovach.

Martha was a homemaker, who enjoyed gardening and prided herself in setting the standard for keeping the yard looking great. She worked at Lord & Taylor at Lakeside Mall for over 20 years, in better dresses. Mom enjoyed contact with her customers, many of whom were in touch with her to this day. Burial will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Donations to a charity of your choice.
