Mary Ann Laurain

Mary Ann Laurain, age 91, a resident of Romeo since 1970, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital. Mary Ann was born September 19, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Wilfred and Alice Boland. Mary Ann graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic High School in 1948. In 1953, she married Virgil Laurain at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Mary Ann was an avid volunteer at St. Clement Catholic Church, and also enjoyed flowers, travel, sewing, quilting, and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Mary Ann also loved traveling to Florida and walking on the beach.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband Virgil Laurain, of Romeo, and sons Bill (Nancy) Laurain of Lakeland, Dan (Peggy) Laurain of Romeo, John of Lansing, Pat (Denise) of Romeo, Marty (Colleen) of Shelby Township, sister Winnie Pelland, grandchildren Bill Jr., Anthony, Michael (Michelle), Chris, Erin (Sierra), Jacey, Garrett, Mara (Steve), Tyler (Lindsay), Blake (Breanna), Cooper (Rachael), Catherine and Ryan, and great-grandchild Miles Laurain. Mary Ann is preceded in death by beloved children James, Mark, and Diane.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 10:00AM, at St. Clement Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023 from 4:00PM-8:00PM with a Rosary at 7pm at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo, Michigan.
