Mary Caroline Benn

Mary Caroline Benn, age 93, a 54 year resident of Romeo, and formerly from Westland, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Leisure Manor in Richmond. Mary was born January 3, 1932 in Blaine, Michigan, the daughter of Joseph and Lois (Larive) Gibbons. Mary married William Benn on November 23, 1957, and they enjoyed 68 years together as husband and wife. Mary enjoyed square dancing. She also belonged to the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the Garden Club, and the Red Hat Society.
Mary is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Benn, sons Peter Benn, David (April) Benn, of Denver, Colorado, daughter, Julie Benn Kratz of Romeo, siblings, Larry Gibbons, Lillian Toor, Kathy Todd, JoAnn Walters, and Faith Lemersal, grandchildren, Phillip Kratz, John Kratz, and Will Benn, as well as great-grandchildren, Carter Kratz, Ava Kratz, Gavin Kratz, Tyler Kratz, and Ivy Kratz.
