Mary Christine Jewett

Mary Christine Jewett, age 86, a 54 year resident of Washington Township passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at St John’s Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Mary was born November 9, 1930 in Hartford, Connecticut, the daughter of Raymond and Helen (Swanson) Dutch. Mary was a chef by trade and worked for the local restaurants Clancy’s (now Old Stone Bar) and Apple Orchid Inn, both in Washington Township. Her hobbies include gardening and cooking. Mary is survived by her children: Pamela Jewett of Oak Park, James Jewett of Palm Bay, Florida, Jodi Jewett of Shelby Township, Tammie Will of Washington Township and Tracey (Richard) Traub of Almont. Also survived by 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and one brother Frederick Dutch of Redwood City, California. Mary was preceded in death by her daughters Kathleen Nemeth-Jewett, Lori Christina, and granddaughter Christina Marie Roberts Funeral services will take place on Friday, July 28 at 7 PM with Rev. Martin Gehring of St John Lutheran Church of Romeo officiating at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo. Visitation will take place on Friday from 2-8 PM.
