Mary I. Billeci, age 82, a 52 year resident of St. Clair Shores, passed away on Monday January 11, 2021 in New Baltimore. Mary was born February 1, 1938 in Detroit, the daughter of Salvatore and Tina (Valenti) Manzo. Mary met the love of her life, Baldassare Billeci, in Sicily where they wed. They wed again when they moved to their home in Michigan. Together they owned Baldo’s Salon, where Mary worked as a receptionist for some time. Mary’s true joy came from raising her children and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Mary also loved to spend the winters at their second home in Delray Beach, Florida which they owned for 25 years. She also cherished her visits to Sicily with her husband and time spent with her many nieces and nephews. Mary is survived by her children Paul Billeci of St. Clair Shores, Maddalena “Rose” (Richard)Dubak, of New Baltimore, and grandchildren Daniella Bruce of St. Clair Shores and Nicholas Bruce of Grosse Pointe. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Baldassare Billeci who passed away on December 14, 2020. Also preceded by her dear brothers Anthony Pizzo and Vincent Manzo. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services will take place at a later date and their cremated remains will be interred at Resurrection Cemetery located in Clinton Twp., Michigan.
