Mary Ruth Redd

Mary Ruth Redd, age 68, a resident of Washington Township for 23 years and previously from the Imlay City/Romeo area, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township. Mary Ruth was born September 11, 1947 in Detroit, the daughter of Frances (McMahon) Vagi. She married Richard Redd on January 24, 1969 at St Clement Catholic Church in Romeo. Mary Ruth last worked for the Hallmark Store at 30 Mile and Van Dyke. She previously worked at the D & C store in Romeo and for many years worked as a child care worker, helping out families in the local area. Her hobbies included baking, reading, camping, all type of game shows, bowling, and sewing. She was a longtime member of St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo. Mary Ruth is survived by her husband Richard, children: Mary Frances & Rick Redd both of Romeo. Also survived by siblings: Albert (Marsha) Vagi of TN., Jerry (Sue) Vagi of Washington Twp., Mary Catherine Richardson of Macomb Township, Tom Vagi of Romeo and Mark Vagi of Lake Orion. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, September 17 at 10 AM at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo. Visitation will take place on Wednesday September 16, 2015 from 2-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. Donations to St Jude’s or to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen of Detroit would be appreciated.
