Michael L. Stansbury, age 48, a lifelong Romeo area resident, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2014. Michael was born December 26, 1965 in Greenville, Mississippi, the son of Milton Sr. and Margaret Stansbury. After serving his country in the Army as a helicopter avionics technician, Michael then joined the Air Force reserves where he continued working on helicopters as an avionics technician. After his military career, Michael went on to be further trained as an avionics technician for helicopters at the Willow Run airport in Michigan. Michael was currently employed by Sikorsky Helicopters, working mostly in the Philadelphia, PA. area, as an avionics technician. He had many hobbies including biking, scuba diving, and fishing. Michael is survived by his son Troy Paul Stansbury of Ann Arbor, his parents, Milton Sr. and Margaret of Romeo along with siblings: Carol (Aaron) Quinn of Kansas City, Kansas, Milt (Linda) of Romeo and Joe of Grand Blanc, MI. Also survived by many nieces & nephews along with many great nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his brother Dan. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, (August 28) at 11 AM at Grace Baptist Church of Romeo with Rev. Andrew Burak officiating. Burial will follow in the Romeo Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 1-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
