Michael Mickey Zions

Michael L. (Mickey) Zions, age 78, a resident of Romeo since 1954, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Mickey was born December 19, 1935 in Springfield, IL., the son of Michael and Agnes (Yurgil) Zions. He married the former Eunice Jaynes on May 24, 1954 at St Paul’s Episcopal Church in Romeo.. Mickey retired from TRW in Washington Township when the plant closed. His hobbies include watching NASCAR, working and driving old muscle cars, collecting Marilyn Monroe and all types of Coke memorabilia. Mickey is survived by his wife Eunice, children: Ellen King of Washington, MI., Shannon (Bob) Emerick of Ray Township, Terry Zions of Chesterfield Twp., and Troy (Karen) Zions of Shelby Township. Grandchildren include Jennifer, Cassie, Michael, Nicholas, Alex, Vicky, Allen, Carter, Kyle, Emily, and Jenna. Great grandchildren include Taylor, Addey, Carson, Xavier, Shawn, and Barrett. Mickey was preceded in death by his son Tod and great grandson Daniel. Memorial visitation will take place on Friday, September 5 from noon-6 PM at the Henry M.
