Michael Roy Striber

Michael Roy Striber, age 52, a long time resident of Almont, Mi. passed away on March 4, 2024 at McLaren Hospital of Flint. Michael was born in Lapeer, Mi. on September 8, 1971, son of Donald Striber and Suzanne Arndt.

Mike started working in the auto body repair industry in his early teens and continued throughout his adult life, where he was recognized as a phenomenal and very talented painter with an eye for detail. He was very passionate and took pride in his work whether it was restoring his classic car “Black Betty”, antique cars & tractors, statues or even reviving friend and family member’s projects.

Mike was an avid outdoorsman that loved hunting, fishing and any other activity that allowed him to enjoy the great outdoors.

To Mike (Buckie) opening day of deer season was a national holiday, a family tradition. He was at peace when out on the water reeling in a line or by an oak tree waiting for that buck.

Michael is survived by his mother, Suzanne Arndt (step father) Benjamin Arndt, sister, Deborah (Rick) Ziehm, (step brother) Kevin Arndt. Close cousins, Shannon Boomer (Don Grubbs), Shelly and Allan Striber and their mother Aunt Marion Striber. His childhood friends who were more like brothers to him, Chad Jando, Chris and Phil Aleck. We’ll never forget the numerous close friends and relatives, in which there are too many to mention.

Preceded in death, by his father Donald Striber in 2018.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 1-8 pm at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo, Mi.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 11 am with a short visitation from 9-11 prior to service.
