Michael S. Poosch

Michael Smith Poosch, age 76, a lifelong Romeo area resident, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021 at the Vista Spring Nursing Facility in Washington Michigan. Michael was born September 20, 1945 in Detroit, the son of Lester and Shirley (Smith) Poosch. After graduating from Romeo High School in 1963, Michael earned many and varied degrees, from a PHD in Pharmacology through Wayne State’s Medical School, Master’s degree in Public Health at U. of M. and also attended DIT Technology. His lastjob was working with physical therapy nursing students at Oakland University in the Biology Department. When not working, Mike loved to read and listen to classical music. Michael is survived by his wife Suzanne (Glisch), 2 sons: Charles and John (Kristie) Poosch. Grandchildren include Alexandria, Christian, Isabella Poosch, Violet, Vann Hixon. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Julie Cole. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Local arrangement by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
