Milton L. Stansbury, age 84, a resident of Romeo since 1970, passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. Milton was born April 21, 1931 in Tupelo, Arkansas, the son of Troy S. and Gussie L. (Weems) Stansbury. He married Margaret Trull on October 17, 1958 in Black Oak, Arkansas. Milton retired from Ford Motor Company in 1992 after 21 years of employment in skilled trades at their trim plants in Chesterfield and Utica. Upon retirement, he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, traveling in his motor home, but mostly watching his grandchildren in all of their activities. Milton, along with his family were active in Grace Baptist, Washington Baptist, First Baptist, and Immanuel Baptist all in the Romeo area. He served his country proud during the Korean War in the Air Force. Milton is survived by his wife Margaret, children: Milt (Linda) of Romeo, Joe of Grand Blanc, & Carol (Aaron) Quinn of Kansas City, Kansas. Grandchildren include Derek Stansbury, Valerie Stansbury, Rachel Brand, Troy Stansbury, Angel Harbison, Ginger Zupan, and Brent Stansbury. Great grandchildren include Danny Stansbury, Logan Stansbury, Katie Morgan, Elin Brand, Marlo Brand and Morgan Zupan. Milton was preceded in death by his sons Michael and Daniel and siblings: Elizabeth Turrentine and Jerry Stansbury, Funeral services will take place on Monday, March 14 at 11 AM at Grace Baptist Church in Romeo. Visitation will be on Sunday fom 1-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. Donations to St Jude in Memory of Milton would be appreciated.
