Nathan F. Dering, age 49, a lifelong Romeo area resident, passed away on Friday, Dec. 25, 2009 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital Center. Nathan was born Oct. 8, 1960 in Pontiac, the son of Frank and Roselea (Carson) Dering. He married the former Janet Dunkley on April 1, 1995 at the Bethesda Church in Sterling Heights. Nathan graduated from Romeo High School in 1978 and then attended Macomb Community College where he received his Associate Degree in commercial art, photography, and designing. He then worked as a self employed representative where he coordinated ad agencies and artist with their advertising needs. Along with his wife and children, they were current member of the Kensington Community Church in Troy. His hobbies included swimming, biking, skiing, and fishing. Nathan is survived by his wife Janet of Romeo, children: Zachary & Sarah along with siblings: Matt (Sue) Dering & Tim (Linda) Dering both of Rochester, MI., and Martha (Eric) Stirnemann of Romeo. His mother Roselea of Romeo survives along with his in-laws, James and Ilein Dunkley of Roseville. MI. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, Dec 30 at 11 AM at the First Assembly of God in Rochester (4435 N. Rochester Rd, Rochester MI. 48306) with Rev. Richard Crisco, Rev. Barry Allen, and Rev. Tim Helland officiating. Burial will take place at the Bruce Cemetery in Bruce Twp. Donations to Nathan’s children would be appreciated. Arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 1 - 9 PM>. Visitation: on Tuesday from 1 -9 PM on Wednesday at the church from 10 AM - 11 AM Services: Wednesday at 11 AM at the First Assembly of God on North Rochester Road Interment: Bruce Cemetery in Bruce Twp. , Michigan on the corner of Fisher Road & Taft Road
