Norma J. Hunt

Norma J. Hunt, age 76, an eight year resident of Washington Township and previously from the New Baltimore/Detroit area, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan. Norma was born in Warren, Michigan, the daughter of Otis and Lela (Lane) Ponder. She married Frank H. Hunt on January 7, 1957 and he preceded her in death on February 18, 1962. Norma worked as an inspector at Chrysler Corporation at its plants on Lynch Road in Detroit and retired from its Sterling Height plant after 30 years of employment in 1999. Before working at Chrysler, she worked at many small parts factories in the Detroit area. Upon retirement, she enjoyed playing bingo and crocheting. Norma is survived by her two children, Karen Hunt of Washington Township and Frank (Tammy) Hunt of Chesterfield Township. Also survived by grandchildren Laura Hunt & Jesse Sadowski, great grandchildren Madison Mae & Stella Jean Goodchild, along with siblings: Susan (John) Compton, Kathy (John) Borowitz, Carol (Bob) Winkler, & Nancy (Al) Sobelikski. Norma was preceded in death by 5 siblings. Local arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
