“Olive” Jean Priestaf, age 92, a resident of Shelby Township for the last 10 years and formerly from Lakeland Florida and from the Greenbush/Farmington Hills, Mi area, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan. Jean was born August 8, 1924, in Highland County, Ohio the daughter of Joseph “Lowell” and Olive Morrow (Roads) Wolfe. She married Thomas Priestaf on January 11, 1943 in Monroe, MI. and he preceded her in death on May 15, 2006. Jean and Thomas enjoyed traveling, going on more than 50 cruises. Jean belonged to the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Detroit and upon retirement in the Greenbush, MI. area, attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Oscoda, MI. and currently attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Utica, MI. Jean is survived by her children: James E. (Debbie) Priestaf of Ann Arbor & Gloria (Dr. David) Burley of Romeo. Also survived by grandchildren David T. (Lisa) Burley of Almont, Edward Burley of Troy, and Joseph (Jennifer) Burley of Tyrone, Georgia. Great grandchildren include Jillian Carter, Abigail , Katie Rose Burley and Joella Jean Burley. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, February 14 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Rev. Norm Koy of Trinity Lutheran Church of Utica officiating. Burial will follow in the Romeo Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10 AM till 11 AM.
